Posting Requirements of the
"Families First Coronavirus Response Act"

March 25, 2020

Today the Department of Labor released the posting required by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. https:// www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/WHD/posters/ FFCRA_Poster_WH1422_Non-Federal.pdf

This poster must be displayed on bulletin boards in locations where employees are working as well as on any internal employee portal and/or website accessible to employees or utilized by an employer to communicate information to employees.

If an employer does not utilize an internal/employee portal or if employees cannot access an employer’s portal because they are away from work, we recommend sending the information to employees via email or other method of communication being utilized by the employer.

We are still awaiting regulations from the Department of Labor that we anticipate will provide further guidance on the implementation of the Act. The Act is scheduled to take effect on April 1, 2020.

Our Clark Baird Smith LLP attorneys are available to answer questions and help our clients prepare appropriate policies for their jurisdictions.
